There is an Adventure Park for summer and winter activities, summer trail rides, winter sleigh rides rafting, tubing, wildlife viewing and many camping sites in the lush forests to make a weekend getaway fun for the whole family. The Wildlife Scenic By-Way follows the Southfork of the Payette River from Banks to Lowman. Lodging at a golf resort or a quiet motel is available for the non campers.
Life there during the pioneer days was quite harsh and economic opportunity was based on logging, mining, and ranching. In later years there was work as hunting guides.

Crouch
Crouch is a city in Boise County, Idaho, United States. The population was 162 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Boise City–Nampa, Idaho Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city was founded in 1934, and named for resident William Crouch.
There are affordable getaway vacation rentals, Art gallery, shops on the Boardwalk and antiques will fill a day trip or weekend stay. A huge park on the river is a great place to picnic and a summertime outdoor theater.
